Workshops
Our Kizomba / Urban Kiz lessons in Rotterdam, are given by the best dance couple in Urban Kiz in the Netherlands; Dwé & Gaby! These two have – since the start of their partnership – become an indispensable concept in the international Kizomba scene! Dwé & Gaby are known for their precise and refined execution, but above all for their energetic and creative flow.
The dance Kizomba has its origins in Angola and has evolved enormously in recent years through the fusion of different music styles. Through the influences of Afro Pop/ Afro Beats, HipHop and other Urban music, the dance Urban Kiz was created. Change is music, because it also means change in the way of dancing, because a dance is an expression of the music.
Dance Levels
You can always develop yourself in dance, whether you are a beginner or already have more dance experience. That is why we offer our Kizomba / Urban Kiz lessons in Rotterdam at different levels. This way everyone can grow at the level that suits his/her development. Do you want to register for our Kizomba / Urban Kiz lessons? Beginners
In the Beginners course we teach you the basic Kizomba techniques to be able to dance in connection with your dance partner. How can you lead and follow in the dance and what skills do you need for that? How can you change walking directions together with your partner and much more!

Beginners+
In this course you will learn to implement and combine the basic elements. We will teach you to combine these elements in various ways, so that you can apply them in all possible ways.

Improvers
How can you lead and/or follow different directions in your dance and what are the different dance lines? You will learn all this in our Improvers course. Furthermore, we will teach you the fundamental dance steps that Kizomba knows.

Practitioner
The Practitioner course combines all the components from the previous courses. We will look at whether you are able to combine these components in different ways and to dance freely yourself, with the right techniques.

Intermediate
In this course the transition from Kizomba to Urban Kiz expression takes place. We teach you the most used, basic Urban Kiz components.

Inter-Advanced
During the Inter-Advanced course we continue to work on the Urban Kiz expression. We take this to a higher level, so that you know how to apply more difficult Urban Kiz components in your dance.

Advanced
Now that you have mastered the Urban Kiz expression, we will add even more complex techniques and offer you more challenges in your dance. Extra attention is also paid to adding styling and the dance can be fused with other dance styles.

Masters
Only available at Elevate Your Kiz! Can't learn enough and want more challenge in your dance? Do you feel like you've reached your max.? Or are you a (beginning) teacher? Then this class is for you! In our Masters class you are expected to master all Kizomba/ Urban Kiz techniques.
Level Check
Do you already have (some) experience in dancing Kizomba / Urban Kiz? Then we invite you to do a level check at our location in Rotterdam!
In order to guarantee the quality of our lessons and to allow you to enter at the level that suits your development, we have introduced level checks.
During a level check, you dance (about 10 minutes) with the teacher, after which he/she advises you on the level you could enter. Based on the outcome of the level check, you will be assigned to a certain dance level, or the lesson that best suits your development!
